Default Anyone ever worked with birdcage veil?

Does anyone know if you just hot glue birdcage veil to the back of your rosette or whatever you're working with? It's so fine and thin...but I'm assuming you just hot glue it on? Thanks!!!

What exactly are you trying to do with it?

I usually arrange my veiling and glue to my felt base, and glue the rosettes on top... I usually will gather the veiling with thread first, they glue the bunch on...

not sure if that makes sense.

You have to sort of shape it before you attach it. What I do is gather it by tying a knot with my thread inside one of the diamonds and then stitching in and out through the diamonds up one side, then pulling the thread to gather. Then knot it off. Then do the same with the other side. Then I usually stitch it to the back of whatever I'm putting it on.
Does that make any sense at all? I am really tired lol.

Yes, ladies, this makes perfect sense! Thank you so much! This is exactly the information I was looking for! I wasn't gathering it with the thread, and that was the problem. THANK YOU!!!

thanks for the helpful info, I just got some and my first attempt was like this: quick shove the veil under the flower, squirt some glue under there, push the felt on asap, burn fingers - looked like crap.

I also have just cut to size (about 1" larger in diameter than roses), wrap tightly around front and glue to bottom of roses. Keep in mind that is when I am wrapping it around the flowers (completely covering my rolled roses). I then glue a piece of felt to the bottom to cover the mess. It is easy to burn your fingers, so keep a toothpick on hand to hold veil onto glue. I have not tried to shape it to add it as an accent yet, but sewing seems to be the only way to make that work!
