Default I really need some TuTu help. *new at this*

Ok so ive made a couple Tutu's. I have not yet taken pictures, but the waistband look AWFUL to me on all of them. I need to know what the possibilities are for covering it or maybe accenting it to hide the knots. I am so frustrated.

Any ideas or specific ways you ladies do this?

All tips are welcome.

Thanks!
Here is a picture of the one i just finished.

I don't see anything wrong with your tutu. How are you knotting it?

I'm just making 2 knots. It takes me a bit of time to adjust them so that theyre underneath the elastic. It doesnt stay in place very well. I know im doing something wrong here.

I do double knots or my tutus as I like that it won't tighten more than I want around the elastic when the tutu comes on or off.

What I do when I make my tutu is put the elastic around something that stretches it out to the length I want (Ex. 20" waist I wrap it around something 10" wide) that way it's easy for me to adjust the tulle.

It's easier for me to knot when I tie the knots at the top of the elastic (which of course you just flip it over when done).

Not sure if that makes sense at all.

That sounds about how i do it. Except the flipping over part. I just do little portions at a time and pull the knots down to the bottom of the elastic. I guess im doing it right. I just dont like the messy appreance of the knots. Is there a good tutorial somewhere on how to add the satin waist?

Here is the very first tutu i made a couple months ago. I HATE the waist!

I also made it very small. it is about 13". I may have to take it apart. I also need to trim it up a little bit.

I think the tutu looks great!! However I do know what you mean when you say you want to HIDE your knots at the end. What I do is cover my ends with a bow!! I hot glue them on to the tutu right where the closure is on the tutu and add perfect prettiness to it!!
Thank you
Stephanie

Really it's all about practice. I don't really like the look of my knots either but I have yet to have anyone complain about them and I get lots of compliments on them.
