Default Braided Headbands Instruction

Here are the instructions I found:

1. Using single ribbon:
http://www.hobbylobby.com/site3/pdfprojects/HL-208.pdf
And:
http://www.nicolecrafts.com/asp/topt...tips.asp?id=23

2. Using 2 pc of ribbons:
http://www.theartfulcrafter.com/military-braid.html

I've attached my project (didn't finish the ends though).

My notes:

1. For 1" headband only.
2. wrap the headband first. Use Fabric-tac
3. Use glue gun to glue the braid to the headband.
4. Use about 5 yds of ribbon.
5. Don't have ribbons and headbands? Visit www.hipgirlclips.com/store today. headband is under 'Hardware' category.

Enjoy!

P.S. The most important thing of woven/braided headband is the color combo. Please show your design here.

Thank you.

From the 1st instruction link (HobbyLobby), about 9xlength of the headband (single ribbon). Plus the ribbon to wrap the headband. So maybe 12x14"=5 yd!!!
But if you purchase UB ribbon? How much for 50 yds? $2?

It's super easy but time comsuming since you have to braid it loop by loop.

I don't think it's a good product to bring profit. Just for entertaining purpose--make one for your little girl

And your post remind me that somebody don't have ribbon and headbands. Just add an ad in the original post

I like this design:

And most of the woven headbands on this site:

I know about selling it for profit would drive up the cost. It seems so time consuming. One lady on saw on her website sold them for 5.99.... noooo way would I do that.

I've done headbands using 2 colors of ribbon, but how in the world do you do it with 4? Would anyone care to help me out here?

TIA!

I just cut and glue (fabric tac) the ribbons together and then glue the stripe to the headband.

I'd love to help, but I learned how when I bought my instructions. If you really want to know, ebay seller mandtfarms has them and shows how to do a 4 color weave. (Search braided woven headbands).
