Default Bottlecap lining on premade caps? Help.

Hey ladies, I bought some premade caps that have resin on top. They are lovely but half of them have the rubber lining still attached to the inside.

Is there an easy way for me to remove the lining without damaging the resin/image on top? Or can I stick the magnet onto the rubber with e6000?

Thanks in advance

You can stick a magnet to the liner with E6000, but it won't stick as well ( if you try hard enough, you can peel the magnet off - but who is going to try to peel the magnet out of the bottlecap? )

But, if you prefer taking it out, use very pointy tweezers to get under the edge of the liner and peel it up that way. It's a pain, but it works and leaves the cap clean.

I know from experience, my first bunch of bottle caps had liners!

What if it doesn't come off easily with tweezers? Is there any way I can soften them without damaging the top?

Have you tried holding them over a steam source?

This is why I no longer buy caps with liners...really need to make some more lol.

If it's not coming off easily I would say just glue the magnet onto the liner for this batch and make sure to get unlined next time.

They were purchased on here premade with images and resin, they aren't supposed to have the lining underneath. I'm guessing she forgot to remove some of them... or maybe just didn't bother?

I usually make my own, the caps I buy don't have liners so at least that's all good.

I'll try steaming them carefully, thanks ladies!

I bought the bottle caps with liners on accident and had to figure out a way to get the liners out because I bought 300. LOL. Not funny at the time, but I can laugh now. I just use a small pair of scissors that has a fine tip end and start from the center of the liner and work my way to the edge making a little cut in the liner. Scissors closed of course, you are just basically scraping the liner a bit. Once you get to the edge I usually use the scissos edge and kind of peel up that corner a little bit and they peel right up.
