Default Making a hair clip/ Bow holder question

Walmart had their wooden letters on sale so I thought I would pick up a few letters and make some bow holders for my daughter and some for friends birthdays. So my question is how should I attach the ribbon to the wooden letter? Should I use a staple gun or will it crack the letter?

I just glue the ribbon on the back with fabri-tac. It holds really well. My dd has pull on the ends of the ribbon a couple of times and it still looks great.

Here is one that I made for a customer. The letter is 6" tall, the ribbons to hang the bows on are 1 yard each. I paid 99 cents for the letters at Michaels.

I would for sure is staples. that are 3/16th so you woun;t really have to us a hammer. The staple will hold up longer then fabric tac will. make sure to seal your ribbon. I make all my boards from scratch.

They are pretty big. They were on clearance for 1.50 already painted white.

you can make it smaller That is the one that I had on my photobucket account. The frames are only like .82 cents to make for the big ones and even cheaper for smaller ones.

Opps, I was answering njzmom about how big they were. I think your frames look nice.
