Default Korker lengths

Does anyone have a rule of length and amount when it comes to korker bows? I have made tons of korkers but they never quiet look full enough or they are to long and fall a little flat when I am all done. So frustrated over it so any suggestions will help! Thanks

I usually cut mine at 2.5 inches (curled not stretched out). Then I gather up about 36-40 pieces to make a korker.

They turn out like this

I am sorry to quote someone else (and I dont remember who it was) but they said 5 curls and that works great for me. Then I do a minimum of 25 sets. I also learned about starching. It really does help!

I use to try measuring them but its much easier to just do like 5 curls, then cut. And using a woodburner makes all the difference!

I make different sizes but yes 40 is a good full one, smallest I go with short cut is 16 and it doesn't look bad, but thats more for infant sizes
