Default Dog Bow???

I've had a request for a dog bow, I have never heard of such a thing, let alone made one! Does anyone have or know of a tutorial on how to do this, preferably with pictures? She wants a korker, and a clippie like this one, but how do I make that for a dog?

TIA!

Well... I guess the same way you'd make one for a child... I mean, I think it all depends on how much hair her dog has. Maybe ask her what type of clip she likes?

I make some really tiny pinwheel bows that I put on unlined single pring clips to sell as kind of a "filler" or whatever... and I have a LOT of women that buy them for their doggies.

I make the same bows for dogs as I do for kids! I put them on either alligator or french clips (ask the customer) and put the clip vertically vs. horizontally on the bow, then it can be clipped to the collar and the bow will sit along the collar

So I can just do it on a normal clip then? Because she asked if it would be on a rubber band, so that's where I got confused.

LOL, okay, I'm still pretty new and only making them for family/friends...I've done a korker on a rubber band, but that's it, now that actually put some thought into it, I see how to do it, lol. It's just wrapping my head around it!

  • The best way to do the puppy bows (and I have a bow dog myself) is to put the dog's hair in a little silicone rubberband first. I include these with each bow isell for dogs, as they are only $1 for 100 at the Dollar Tree. Attatch the small bow to a snap clip. I think they are 22 ml. Avail at hobby lobby and rabom for sure.

I've been thinking that my dog could use some accessories but seeing as she's a short haired English Mastiff all I could think of was attaching it to her collar but her collar is sooo ugly! I want to either find or alter a collar to make it more girly for her!

Ooooo there is a lady that normally comes to a big show that is in next weekend I believe and she makes the CUTEST dog collars and accessories! I've bought a couple houndstooth collars for my babies from her and they are FANTASTIC quality. If you like I can get her info for ya! I think she has a website! I'll see if I can find her card and if not then I'lll get it for ya next weekend!
