Default Is this a die cut or freehand??

With the risk of being included in the "boutique scab" club I'm going to ask anyway.....

This is so beautiful.. How do you think it's done? Die cut or freehand? I love it and would love to make my dd some of these.

The fact that it says "felted" and not just "felt" makes me think they are crochet/knit and then put through the felting process.

Very pretty, but I am almost positive it is crochet or knit and then felted.

Here is what something looks like once it has been knit and then put through the felting process

** just noticed it says it is made with austrailian merino wool. I believe that is a yarn, not a felt

So something is crochet before it's turned to felt?? I'm lost.. Basically what you're telling me is I can make these w/ felt.. so it's not a die cut.. hum... I really want to make something close.. guess I'll have to to figure it out.

You crochet or knit the item (in this case the flower) using wool yarn. Then there is a process of washing you do to "felt" it. The item is made, probably double or more the size and during the felting process it shrinks down.

I crochet, but have never gotten into felting, so I dont know much more than that, you would have to google it

Yes, just like Krista said. You knit or crochet an item bigger than you want the finished item to be. Then you put it in the washer (I add it toa load of denim) so that the wool can change into the felt type material. Sometimes you have to wash it more than once and it has to be done with 100% wool. Hope that helped a little.Suzie
