Default What glue should I use?

I am trying to figure out the best way to attach some material to a shirt. I can't use the iron on stuff, because the design has a 3D effect to it. And I can't sew it because I don't want the stitches to show. So what would be the best glue to use? Will fabric glue hold up for long term? I am hoping to find glue that will bond and stay put even though the washing machine. The materials I would be attaching are Felt, ribbon and fabric.
Thanks,
Cheryl

i'm also interested in a fabric glue that's flexible/sturdy . . .
i don't trust any glue right now.

the 2 that look the best are aleene's fabric fusion permanent adhesive & liquid stitch come out pretty highly rated.

is there anyway you can tack down the pieces and then glue an embellishment on top to cover the stitches?

from what i've read - it has to be line dried/no dryer . . .

Is there anyway you can try a small piece on a similar fabric if so I would try Aleene's fabric glue. I have had good luck with it in the past.
