Default Mulberry Paper?

Just wondering, is it ok to use mulberry paper flowers on hairclips or do you think they would get ruined too easily?

My sister uses them mixed in with her regular flower clips. They come out super cute. I made some for my daughter who is 20 months. She had it off her head, slobbered on and ripped up in no time flat. Her other flower clips can handle this abuse.... So, I think it would just depend on the age of the child wearing them.

Hehe yeah I thought little kids would be a no-no.

Thanks, I might just make a few for older kids.

i mistakenly bought some of these . . . and painted them w/non-toxic polyurethane . . . they're hard but still slightly flexible. i was concerned that they wouldn't be rainproof . . . not droolproof - never thought of that - lol!

since they were white & beige, i was also able to waterpaint them cause i couldn't find a specific color.

Oh hmm. I wonder if spray matt varnish would help them keep their shape and protect them a bit...

I tried it and it is not sturdy enough. It looked so cute though, i was sad! My dd wore it for a full day and it tore the first day.
