Sorry, I wasn't clear, not the butts (which I prefer tucked btw) but the pointy end where it goes into the hair. Here are pics. first two with what I call the burp, the open end filled with air, and second sealed tight the way I like. I mean I really obsess over this. Crazy huh?

I'm an innie. My best friend was helping me one day and I asked her opinion. She told she thought it looked better tucked in. So that's just the way I've been doing it. She thought it looked more professional that way.

Oh. No it's not crazy. LOL!!! I put it under because I had an actual boutique tell me they wanted it that way. But they don't want the back lined but a little bit. They said the mothers tell them that it helps the clip to stick under the clip, but if it's over the back then they can't slide it in and out of the kufi's and headbands as easy.

Girl me too! I push and really get my tape to seal cause I do not like it when it's open like that on the end!

LOL! I have this obscession too. I always put enough glue on my clip so that I can smoosh the edges together so there is no space in between the ribbon. I think it looks neater and not like I was in a rush to cover the clip. I would be afraid they would get snagged on something and come loose too. Love the way you described it in the first post...had me rolling in the floor!

I like mine sealed pretty flat too. I alway's figured if I didn't, they would look like there were about to come apart. Then again, that's the beauty of creating something handmade, everyone has their own style. If it works for you why change it.
