I only glue ribbon on top of the straps with e600 and then use alligator clips to secure overnight. I then hot glue the bow and then take dental floss and wrap around the straps twice. Then I take ribbon and wrap it around the straps covering the floss.

I have never had one pair of flip flops come back with problems.
Massmom, those flip flops are fabulous! Love them

So far, I seem to be doing the same things you are. I'm using Old Navy shoes, E6000 glue and clips to secure it overnight. But, like others have said, maybe it's the toddler shoes specifically that have this problem? The shoes sat for at least 30+ hours and still the E6000 didn't hold the ribbon down.

I think what I'm going to try and do is glue the ribbon one more time using the flip flop glue. I know how I'm going to attach the korker (using ribbon) but I'm primarily concerned with the straps at this point. This is turning out to be quite the project!
Ha! I had a teacher once who swore by the "kiss" theory. I haven't heard the term since.

You asked for a picture of fully lined, back-strapped flops...Karia posted one here:

Thanks for posting that pic Ashley! I appreciate it!

I can see that she didn't do the back strap though.. I wonder if anyone's done that? Wrap the entire thing all the way around.. including the back strap?

Maxine,

I don't know what to offer as a suggestion. I have both backless and back strap but don't do too many in the back strap size. I still have some from last season that are still secured.

I've bought shoes from Inbop too and they are wonderful. The best thing about them is that they last a long time. I have a friend who could never wear flip flops because they would hurt in between her toes and her feet but the Cariris brand is the only brand of flip flops she can wear from Inbop.

Massmon, thanks hon... no worries. I haven't quite given up hope yet lol I'm going to see if that flip flop glue has better holding properties against the toddler shoe.

In the meantime, I finished 2 other pairs. Christine doesn't want the ribbon on the straps at all, so I guess she saved me from extra work (I'm still going to keep trying though with my first pair, as I said up above).

I made the korkers so that they are removable. I can mix and match any korker that I make. I can swap out sizes and colors. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

((plus, I want to add.. they're "kid" tested! Christine has been wearing the pink pair for the past 4 hours.. squeeee! ))

Here's a pic of the yellow pair showing 2 different korker bows (not to be worn together.. just showing how the korkers are interchangeable) ~

Maxine...those are adorable and so colorful. That's what the girls really go for. Your korkers are so perfect...great job!

I tried interchangeable and that's what I had so much trouble with. I put the ribbon loops on each side and slipped the alligator clip in. They fell off several different customers much to my embarrassment.

It's a good selling feature but most people said they wouldn't change the bow....so I changed my selling stratergy and sold 1 pair for $18 or 2/$32. 60-70% buy 2 pairs.

i've never heard of inbop . . . just checked out their website but you have to order 15 pairs. http://www.inbop.com/cariris/

do they sell them at any of the major chains so i can try them? i'm on google page 5 and still can't find any stores other than on-line!

i love all the f/flop pics - they're fantastic! and i'd wear different ones to see if anyone noticed
