Hot Glue.

I use high temp sticks and have never any problems. You have to be quick though

Every cilp I could pull apart easily!

Finally, I bought some glue at walmart. I think it starts with an "a". Sorry I'm not close to my stash, or i'd go look. It's a clear bag with burgundy on it....
This glue rocks. I also bought the glue gun from walmart with a small nozzle.
This duo has now made my clips super strong & I cannot pull anything I glue apart. If I do, it usually ends up ripping the fabric or making a huge blemish in whatever it was.

I hope that helps. It took me forever to figure this out! I almost stopped selling stuff b/c i thought everything was going to fall apart.
I use the same glue gun (a little pink one?) and the same glue sticks. EXCEPT I buy my sticks at Joanns and use a 50% off coupon so they are actually cheaper than walmart that way

I didnt like the glue from HL, I only bought it once because I was desperate and Joanns was further away.

Good advice about using a glue gun with a small tip. i think that is why i don't like using the glue gun. It's been looking lumpy even when I try to smooth it before it dries.- Going to look for a gun with a smaller spout!!!

Have you tried smoothing your glue with the side of the nozzle??

I use E6000, most clips I used the hot glue on have lifted, I think because of the temp extremes we have where I live.

New to this bow making craft~ hadn't thought about using the darn nozzle- you don't want to know how I've been trying to smooth it out. Loving this group more everyday. Thanks!

Took me a while before I started using the nozzle...think hubby might have suggested it but can't remember

I only use hot glue for felt & fabric now.

I used to use just hot glue, then I switched over to tape. Now, I use both together and it seems to work out nicely.

Also, I agree that different glue sticks perform differently. I had some that were just terrible. Then, I switched to a brand I found at Joann's and I can't believe the incredible holding power they have.

I use hot glue from Wal-Mart...not sure what its called but its the high temp stuff. This stuff does not pull apart easily. If it does come apart it usually tears up whatever it was holding together. I won't use any brand but that one because it works so well.

I can see I need to make a trip to Joann's (hate walmart so I hope my Joanns has it) for some new glue sticks. My daughter pulls her ribbon off the alligator clips all the time. I just thought she was being rough on them I have never had any customers say anything about their clips. Now I am worried that they may not have said anything but have switched to other bow makers. UUGGHH. At first I thought it was my old glue so I bought new glue at HL and it still does it. If someone could post the name of the glue at Joann's that would be helpful. Thanks for the info ladies.
