Default Thick vs. Thin? UB for Twisted bows?

I LOVE UBs prices, but a little leary if it will work for the twisted bows. Any advice from the bow veterans? Is it easier to work with, or harder?

I dont use Ub ribbon, But MANY girls here do. Its just a prefrence on what you like. I think the majority of bowmakers try out many suppliers before reaching a verdict HTH...

I like it. It is a little thinner but I found that if I cut my ribbon and starch and bake it before I make my twisted I get great results! I know it's kind of a PITB to have to that, but I guess for the cheaper ribbon it's worth it

almost all of the bows pictured in my tutorial were made with UB as well as all these I do not starch or bake and they hold up very well

all the solids in this one are UB

this is UB 1.5" solid

everything but the shamrock in this is ub

I learned on UB ribbon. I have a harder time doing TBBs with stiff ribbon like Schiff! Isn't that funny? I think the majority prefer schiff though... I do bake and starch too, but after I have the bow made.

These are all UB:

I use UB...as well as Schiff. I always starch and dry with my hairdryer after I make the bow!!

I love UB's 3/8" ribbon. I also like their dots in 7/8" and 1 1/2", but I won't use it as a base. I really don't care for their solid 7/8" or 1 1/2". My personal preference for solids is Schiff because I like thicker ribbon. I guess it just comes down to your personal preference.

I think UB has good ribbon. Just the right thickness for tbb. The price is definately right!
