Default TUTUS for Consignment Sale

Hey. What size tutus would you make for a consignment sale? Would you just make some on ribbon? How long would you cut your elastic and what sizes should it fit?

I would say to make them on ribbon, so that they are sizable, would probably bring more attention to mommas

Okay...:-) So...I should make mostly those and maybe a few toddler ones. Then I could just take orders for other ones...maybe.

I find 12 months (18" waist, 8" length) sell best for me - 1st Birthdays and all.
And crochet waist ones too - fit 0-3/4T.

How do you make tutus on a ribbon? What size ribbon?

You can make the ribbon pretty long and then add the tulle to about what you think would fit the average size you are looking for and then the mom can just tie it.

What width of headbands? I think I may do this!

I've been using 3 inch headbands and folding them over, but I think I may look at going to a thicker headband so that the waistband will be more like 3 inches...

You just have to be very careful when you tie your tulle so you don't stretch the headbands too much.
