Nine times out of ten, after I put the back on, I would look at my button and my fabric had shifted (of course this is only "relevant" when you need a design on the fabric in the center). I now just keep a glue stick handy and put a dab of glue in the center of the button before positioning my fabric. No more fabric slipping while putting on the back.
smart idea! which made me also think of another one

hope you put your xtra glue sticks in lettuce drawer of the reefer (sorry - never remember how to spell refridgerator & it's tooo long of a word).

lots of mine went bad (since i buy the big pack at bj's) and once i started doing this - no problem!

lol - and i always know where they are!

Here is a tip that a ballet teacher shared with me recently regarding tulle:

Not all tulle is created the same. If you're buying tulle to make a tutu, be sure to buy what you need all at the same time because dye lots and thread thicknesses vary.

Narrower thread = softer tulle

Small diamond hole nylon tulle makes soft tutus. However, softer tutus have been known to not last as long over time.

A good resource for tulle is Gifts International.

dot a bit of hot glue to the end of a new stick when you load it. This way it does not slip back out.

This tip is AWESOME!!!! Tried it today and it makes hot gluing so much easier! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

This is just really a thread for tips hon It would be better to post your question in the regular "How To Make" section of the board where people will see it

My tip is I use a hanging jewelry organizer to keep my embellishments in I can see what I have at a glance and it frees up space on my table

Here's another great tip from Lilredsmiles... one of our resident craft experts (yes, I gave her that title.. she deserves it! )

Crystals

All crystals have lead in them and are not CPSIA compliant. The only ones I use are the craftsafe brand!
