Default No slip grips

I am sorry if I seem out of the loop on this, but I am new to making bows and was curious about what everyone seems to be mentioning about no slips grips and what everyone uses for that. I have been making bows for my daughter but have always just lined my clips.

I line my clips as well but I use silicone and line it on the inside of the clips. I know of others that use velcro, velvet or foam. I am pretty sure you can buy a "no slip grip" on a few of the supply sites and just place it inside the clip.

I use aquarium sealant because its waterproof and most importantly non-toxic. I just put it oon the top part of the clip.. HTH

Devon from No Bow No Go sells them and so does Chaun Vickery from Plain and Fancy Bowtique. Chaun has the Gripzies and Devon's are the more flatter ones. Both are great.

You can also use shelf liner...the kind that's kind of waffled. I think you can buy it in the Dollar Store. Then either hot glue it to the top of the alligator clip (not the top top, the inside top) or use double sided tape. Or you can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get anti-slip rug liner. It's self sticking (you peel paper off one of the sides and stick it to the top inside of the alligator clip. Did I make that clear as mud?

I also use the shelf liner that is at walmart. It is in the isle with the other cabinet liners. You get a roll for a little under $4.00.

Thank you for everyone who responded to my question, everyone is always so helpful on here. I was wondering if anyone would happen to have a pic of how you line the clip with shelving liner that they would be willing to share. I am not sure if I quite 'get' how it is being used?

That's it! I've used it too and does hold great. Do you use DS tape or hot glue to attach it?
