Default Can a Spellbinders or Sizzix cut through silk or polyester?

I have a Big Shot and have several dies from both Spellbinders/Nestabilities and Originals from Sizzix. I would like to use them to cut polyester for singed flowers. They seem to cut through everything else but I just can't do it with this type of fabric. Any suggestions? I hate cutting them free form. TIA!!

I have a ton of sizzix dies. I always thought that the originalz could cut through polyester, but maybe I'm wrong? Hmm. Interesting. Polyester is pretty slippery though, so maybe layer it up a bit, or do a couple layers of polyester with a layer of felt to add a little bit of grip.

When I used to print on muslin, I would iron freezer paper on the back of the muslin to run it through the printer, maybe that would work.
