Question Resins on clippies.. what's your method?

I'm having a problem with my resin topped clippies.

First, I line the clip with ribbon using dbl sided tape. Then, I adhere the resin with E6000. After 24 hours of drying, everything looks fine... as long as you don't move the clip. Because once you do, the weight of the resin pulls the ribbon lining away from the clip.

(geez, I hope I'm explaining this right)

My question is, what is the best method for making clippies with resins on them? Should I not be using dbl sided tape? Should I be gluing the ribbon down with something else? (hot glue, E6000, etc.?)

What method works best for you?

i hot glue the ribbon to the clip. i dont really like using double sided tape.

i have read that the tape needs to dry on there so it wont come off. i know i have had some clips become really "cured " after a few days. make sense?

Try using a combo of the tape and glue. I like the tape because it is neater, but have had problems with it pulling away over time with heavier embellishments such as resins or flowers. I use the glue/tape combo with E6000 - have not had issues since started that method.

I do a ds tape/ hot glue combo. Still looks neat with the tape but I put a little hot glue in a few spots that have come loose in the past without it.
