Default Baby Boutique Knotted Center

I am making a bunch of the 2 in boutique knotted center bows. My question is this-

When you wrap the knot around the center of the bow- do you glue it to the back of the bow and THEN to the alligator clip? Or do you glue the bow down to the clip, and then glue the knot down and wrap around the clip to the backside? I am getting frustrated- but wanted to make some as filler bows.

I glue the knot to the bow and then to the clip.

I think it's a personal preference. I glue the bow to the clip and then wrap the knot around the bow and the clip. But I have seen lots of people on here say they wrap the knot and then glue the bow.

I do it both ways. It usually depends on how bulky the ribbon is, because you do want the clip to be able to close. It seems more durable if you wrap it around both the bow and clip.

I go around both the bow and clip, and think this might contribute to my bows staying in well ... at least that's what my customers say, lol.

I too wrap around the bow and the clip. I feel they are more secure this way.

Thank you!! I went back and looked at other sites I had bookmarked..and they said if you wrap around the bow and clip it makes it look "perky". So- I agree! It does! YEAAAAA~! I think I made about 20 tonight. The bows- I still need to do the clips and the knots.

Thanks everyone!

Craft show Saturday- forecasting RAIN! BOOOO! (outside show.. hopefully they will have us set up in the high school gym.)
