Default Help With Roses, Please!

So I have some fabric roses that I picked up at the dollar store, and I'm wanting to put them on alligator clips, but I'm having a bit of trouble. What do you all do with the plastic cuppy things that hold the shape of the inside of the rose? I tried taking it out, and putting the flower back together, but it didn't look quite right. Any suggestions?

I take all the plastic pieces out of the flower and then put it back together. Often the flower shapes up again once I add the center. I will also line my alligator clips "upside down", I use the bottom of the clip to attach the flower to so the clip doesn't push one side of the flower up if I find the flower is likely to look different with the "bump".

Hope it works out. Good luck. I love working with flowers. I often wear them myself.

I do the same thing, but sometimes I will glue the plastic little cup back in there with the flower if it isn't noticeable. I have also put a dab of glue here and there down at the base of the petals and cup the flower in my hand to get it to "shape up".
I love the idea of turning your alli clips upside down to attach the flower, great idea!

I just snapped these pics of two clips I had sitting in my work area. I didn't edit or anything so sorry for the quality. The red one is lined "right side up" and the yellow/green is lined upside down.

The third picture is of both clips "right side up" with the bump on top.
