Default stupid flower question lol

Ok so I have a bunch of flowers, daisies, and roses and those big big flowers...welll here is my question, when I clip the stem off of the flower I always put a piece of felt over the spot where the stem was and then put my clip on it...well sometimes its annoying because I have to move the clip down a bit because if the little nub left from the stem, and if I was to put my clip in the middle on the nub, it really won't be secure! Any tips? Tyia!!

i completely take the stem out but before i do that i place small dabs of glue in the inner part of the petals so that the flower wont come apart once i take the stem out...HTH

Take the plastic off all together and glue each petal. I never leave a plastic nub it wouldn't look professional and it may not he safe

If you are talking about the gerber daisies and stuff that have an actual plastic backing...then I clip it off and then put my lighter to it and mash it against the table. That smooths the plastic out. I then add the felt...and then the clip and then felt again.

Yes it is the one with the plastic backing with the stem in it...I think I do simular to what you do but I don't mash it I will have to try that, I might try these other ladies ideas too!

For the other kind without the plastic....I use brads to secure the flowers together, then I add a rinestone or something overtop. This helps make my flowers more secure.
