Default tape to line alligator clip

I have searched but can not find a previous thread..I make a mess when I try to line alligator clips and seen people use tape..which tape are u using? I have a pink scotch gun from scrapbooking will that work??

Also I believe RABOM now carries it, but I haven't tried theirs.
