Default korker question

This may seem like a stupid question to some of you but I'm gonna ask anyways.
None of the korker instructions I've seen say whether or not you spray the ribbons with anything after they've curled. Do you? lol

You do not have to-- just wrap them around the dowel and they will curl

Yeah, that part I know. I mean afterwards. Is it a good idea to spray them with something to stiffen them so they don't droop after time? Or are they pretty good about keeping the curl?
Thanks

You can spray them with starch or a heavy hairspray before you take them off the dowel. Some people spray them before they put them in the oven.

I spray with startch after I am done making the bow. i did it once with the ribbon still on the dowel and it was such a PIA for the longest time, b/c the dowel just felt diffrent and the ribbon would give me a hard time. But that is just my opinion.

I don't, but I suppose you could use spray starch or hairspray to make them stiff. Mine don't uncurl if that is what you are asking.

Wink Re: korker question

I love to make Korkers and I don't spray them until I've made the bow and attached it to my clip. I stiffen them with heavy hair spray and they hold up very well. Trying to work with stiff ribbon can be frustrating!

i spray them afterwards with stiffener from michaels. I find that more sell when they aren't floppy.

i used to spray while on the dowel afterwards but found that my dowel was getting goomped up (for lack of better description) so now i spray after the bow is assembled with spray starch to help hold the curl and keep them fluffy
