Default How to? Button Headband with glue

Saw this cute headband on etsy:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/62471155...ref=v1_other_1
Looks as though the buttons are only connected with glue? What type of glue would you use....I just fear they would pop off with any amount of great stretch...
Any ideas?
Thanks

We made one and use E6000, was very surprise when one of the buttons popped right off!

I've made something similar to this but only used buttons that I could sew on for that very same reason. I actually sewed and glued with E6000.

I would say, hot glued with felt in the back with the elastic between. Personally, I prefer when buttons look like they are sewn so I would sew them to a piece of felt, then cut down the felt and glue it

I acutally find e6K rather usless on plastic and really never use it. I have a super hot melt glue gun that I use for everything save for jewelry applications, it def does not hold plastic well.

It looks like hot glue is seeping out of the button holes...not sure. It is super cute! However, it is kind of expensive...don't you think? Plus the shipping is high.

Yes you can see the glue coming through the holes but you can also see that they are backed with what looks like felt circles! I have hundreds of buttons I think i might have to try one of these!

IMO, the headband doesn't look finished when button holes are not sewn. If I made that, I would at least "sew" an x of thread into the holes before I attached in whatever fashion I chose. It looks cute sitting there, but when the band stretches on a head, won't everything seperate and look a little sloppy? I should look back at Etsy and see if there is a photo of it modeled

Oops, I was wrong...it didn't stretch too far, and it does look super cute. I would still sew a fake x in the buttons with holes on the top.
