Default Opinions on Twisted Bow?

I know, I know.... another person who is posting their twisted. However, it does bring me comfort to know I'm not the only one who has problems with this bow!

I watched mommyto2divas' video and I made 4 templates.

Please can you tell me how I did on my twisted? I've been having a hard time with this for a while.

Thank you for taking your time to help me!

I think it looks good! The angle of the photo makes it a little hard to see all the loops but it looks like you got it! I watched that video too and want to make a template and try her method.

I'm terrible at taking good pics, I leave that for my husband to do lol. It certainly looks much better than what I've done in the past.

It took a bit of time, but the templates weren't hard to make. I was thinking of getting the NBNG and now I'm curious what size ribbon you'd use for their 12 different templates.

I doodled on your picture. The black arrows are for the back 2 ribbon. They have to stay straight. The blue arrows is where I pull the loops out from. The very center. And you need to hold everything else still and tug strictly on it there.

You need to sew stiches through the center. I am not sure how you did your center.

But be looks like a good start. I just like mine a bit perkier! It really is gonna take a lot of practice.

Ok, dumb question, how do I keep the back straight when it's going into a loop? LOL here is a pic of the back. Don't mind the bad glue job, my glue gun decided to throw up and squirted out more glue than it should have lol I did stitch it, I should have taken pics without the center knot.

You did a good job of keeping it straight. You just have to keep your fingers really tight around the center pin. It will be harder if you do go about making it perkier. You also need to pull the stitches tighter I think from the look of it!

I love my NBNG temps. The book tells you how much ribbon you need for each size bow, and and type of bow you want to make. The book gives very good at telling you how to do each bow.

Ok. Thanks for the input. This is my first one that actually looks even and decent so hopefully it just gets better from here.

I'm not the queen of the TBB, but are you pinching the center at all when you sew? When you sew it up in the center, it should almost crease itself. I don't know if that makes any sense; I have a hard time explaining how to make bows!

Here is this link. Has what size template goes with what length and size ribbon. I'm not sure if this is for Twisted bows?? I haven't actually used the chart yet, but keep it handy for when I'm ready to make more bows. Hope it helps some!!
