Default Worth the money..?

Ok, I SERIOUSLY suck at making twisted bows. I do it the figure 8 way, I even use a pin in the middle so that it doesn't move around but I just can't get it to look right.

I was looking at the Brilliant Bowmaker thing and I was wondering if it was worthwhile to spend the money. It's pretty darn expensive so I'm nervous about spending the money on it.

Can I get some opinions whether it's a good tut on how to do it by hand, or on the BBM or is there another template thing?

Thanks.

I am a cheapy! And what I did was go to the store and bought some chip board. And made my own template. Just cut to like 4 inches, and then a little piece out of the very center. Be really exact in your measurements, or the bow will turn out lopsided! And then you wrap it around the template, I used to do it on my hand. Pin it in the center, and pull out your loops from there! You can PM me if you have any questions!

To be honest I LOVE my BBM I have no idea how to use the NBNG ones. I made my own and couldn't do it!!! Soooo, I purchased the whole BBM kit for 60 and I love it!! I do make my boutiques by hand if I get frusturated but not the twisted lol. I do it on the template. I love the book it comes with as well picture heavy and awesome instructions! She gives you places to buy stuff and it's just great IMO. HTH!

I lovvve the BBM book! I think she did an excellent job with it

However, I never have success making a twisted boutique using the template The ones I do make, I make by hand. They seem to turn out fine (I get better with each one I make).

I've never tried NBNG but I've heard wonderful things about it.

Ok, so I'm a little confused. Even with NBNG and BBM people are having a hard time making the twisted? This would be my main reason for purchasing one but I can't make a twisted with it then it wouldn't be worth spending the money on.
