Sharie80, I have always just stacked my bows and tied all the pieces together. I've never had a problem with my bottom bow loops flopping. I don't know why it has worked fine. Perhaps the "Bow Gods" smile on me???

You can do that without baking and stiffening first? That's great. I tried today, just stacking them to see if my loops would flop and they did so I sat down with my NBNG templates and tried and failed and tried and failed until I mastered that dang pinwheel bow. I did master it finally. I like my BBM templates better, but I can't make pinwheels with those! So I'll be using a pinwheel base bow for all my OTT bows.

Thanks everyone for all of your input. It really did help me a lot.

Yep, no baking or stiffening first.

I like the idea of a pinwheel bow on the bottom. I love pinwheels.

So I learned how to make a pinwheel bow, finally, I love having that as a base bow a lot better than a twisted bow! Here's a few pictures...

Sharie80, your bows are really cute! You did a great job!

A couple of questions if you don't mind:

Where did you get the ballerina feet in your first picture?

Is there a pinwheel bow under each set of spikes? I can't see for sure.

I really like these bows. Without the twisted bow on the bottom, they don't seem so overwhelming.

Thanks for sharing.

Much better! You have a good eye for color and pattern combos. Try some suround loops and see how that goes.

Thank you Debora! I purchased the ballerina feet from The Ribbon Retreat! They're great =) And yes, I did a pinwheel bow for the base bow of each one! I like it to much better than a twisted...and it's really light! I only used a single prong clip when I thought I'd need a double prong clip.

Thank you

I'm glad you say I have a good eye for colors and patterns because I thought I was horrible at it! Haha. I was going to do surround loops, but I thought it would make them too busy...but maybe I'll do a slighty different style of each and do loopies! I actually made some for the ballerina one and forgot to put them on...I also forgot to add the tulle to it! Oops.
