Default making woven headband non-slip

i posted this in the discussion forum although it appears that no one goes over there.
i made a woven adjustable headband and it slips on my dd's head.
i thought of the following possible solutions:
1. velcro - but the fuzzy side does not seem like it would add traction and the grippy side would hurt pressed straight against the head
2. velvet ribbon - again not sure how much traction this would provide
3. the hold it carpet tape - not sure how well this would work since there is no clip but i was thinking small strips across the top of the head.
4. shelf liner - again in small strips across the top of the head but again not sure if this would hold well since it is not a clip

any ideas or suggestions or experience with this?

I used the velcro in dds headband. She hasn't complained about it hurting.

I used the velcro and put one on. I didn't wear for long, but it didn't hurt me. That is what this site does too:

Which side of the velcro did you use? Also, how much?

I used the stratchy side, I think it is the "hooks" side. I do it just about 4 inches, so it will be at the top of the head.

thanks ladies!

do you think a small piece of velcro would work in the woven adjustable headbands? (not the ones on the plastic headband base...the basket weave one...thus the concern over hurting)

This is the one that I put the velcro on. I can post a pic if you want me to.
