Default Question about tutus

Ok ladies I seriously need help. I have seen post on tutus, have searched google and youtube. I'm really confused about the slip knot, up and down directions and such forth. I want to do single, double and triple layers.

I am at a begging point. PLEASE PLEASE help!!!! I am willing to pay. I just need a good tut or pictures with directions. Very much a visual person.

Thank you so much

I make tutus, I don't have a tutorial though. Let me take my kids to school then I'll see if I can find the sites I used to teach me and I'll pass them along.

I personally would purchase the pixie tutu instructions from hadamos here:
http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/how-m...tructions.html.

These are by far the best tutu instructions I have seen free or paid. It is for a 3 layer tutu, but you get the basics for all tutus here (measurements, lengths, etc).

I use a square knot as opposed to a slip knot (personal preference). I'm sure if you search "reversible" tutu you will get a better explanation of the up/down method. I learned this from a different tut that I purchased, but that was the only thing I got out of it and it honestly wasn't worth the $$ I paid for it. For that reason I won't post a link to those instructions.

Good luck! Once you get the hang of it you think, "Why did I think this was so hard?"

I think the up/down method is sold on etsy.

There's is a tut here: http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-make-a-double-layer-tutu for a simply single layer tutu. Scan down to the part with the heading **How to make a tutu - No sew version** it shows you basic instructions for how to do a slip knot on a tutu.

I can't seem to find the instructions for the double layer but it's simple. Just take your two strips of tulle, one in each color you want. Link them together by folding them in half and linking each piece at the fold. Slip it under the elastic tie it like you were going to tie a shoe pulling the two pieces apart horizontaly, then tie another knot but this time pulling them up and down. So when you've let them go you'll have one color on top and the other on bottom. You can keep them the same length so it's reverasable or you have the top layer shorter soyou wind up with a two layer.

I'm sure that doesn't make much sense but it's hard to explain. I'll keep an eye out for those instructions
