Looks good after you pulled it apart. For starch, I use a spray can of starch (or you can use hairspray) and spray it. And, then, I use a hairdryer - or the toaster oven, but I prefer the hairdryer. It only takes a few minutes to dry.

It looks good after you pulled the loops apart. Sometimes they just don't look right before you do that. Great job though.

I tie, but unless I just get the right ribbon and a lucky tie I only get 2 bumps on my 5/8" and 3/8" bows. I make sure my 7/8" and 1.5" always have 3 though, if there is only 2 I redo them

It looks great in the finished picture. The location of the stitches definitely make a difference. I had to experiment quite a bit until I finally found a way to stitch the bow in a way that makes them my kind of perfect. So if you're making a bow and you're not happy with how it's shaped, check your stitching. I start at the very top, come in through the back, stitch through a little ways down, back through past the middle a bit, and down one more time and tie it off- this is for 7/8". Should be 2 peaks. That probably only makes sense in my head lol

No no...that makes sense! I did an extremely dumb thing with the black one...I used black thread. Duh Bree, you won't be able to seeee itttt. So maybe the stitches are off a little bit.

Thanks for everyones help.

I used the word stiff way too many times in this post.

Sorry to be OT but there was a lady about 6-7 years ago that sold korkers (for about $25 per pair!) named Tami or Tammy on ebay. I bought some of her solid korkers with the handmade krinkle and they were like hockey pucks. You could've seriously injured someone with a headbutt :0) BUT they never came apart or even shifted in shape. I have still have a red pair and they look like the day I got them. I think she dipped the whole finished bow in some sort of starch concoction?!

Haha sounds good to me.

Sandy that orange one looks lovely.

Lol hotbowmom. Sounds good. I worry that the Craft Stiffener I use makes them too stiff but I guess if they stay in shape for a great deal of time it's worth it yeah?
