Question Bottle Cap Magnetic Bracelet Help

Ok, you are all going to think I am an idiot..lol, but I am going to ask anyways. Can someone please tell me how to make these bracelets. I have read all the past posts on here, and I am just not getting it

I know you use microfiber nylon tights, and I know how to cut them out, I just do not understand how to attach the washer. Maybe the picture is just deceiving, but I am not getting it. I am sure once the light bulb actually goes off in my head I will be like duh that was easy

Thank You!
Jill

I could only find 3 posts because I have been wanting to do this too for my daughter and nieces. but one of the post that just ties theirs, says she put one of the loops through the hole of the washer and then the end coming up through the washer keep stand it up and open the loop and bring the other end across the top of the washer and into the loop and pull. do with other side and then tie. but the picture you have doesn't show a big knot so do they cover it up with a bead? not sure.

Okay one question for you, does anyone have a picture of the magnet part on the bottlecap, I have like 100 bottlecaps that I bought 3 years ago or so maybe 5 and this is new to me about the magnet part but it isn't the magnets that are like1/4 thick is it, well would just love someone to explain that part and show me a pic of the magnet on the bottlecap LOL. thanks.

I am not sure if this is how everyone else does it-But I use the same size as I would a choker necklace. I lay it out flat (you have both sides together). Slip the washer on. The put your loops over your finger bringing your ends together. The washer is now dangling down and use a crimp bead to hold it together at the fold.
Does that help?

I don't use any crimp beads or anything on mine. I buy the nylon strips that are used for necklaces, thread through the washer until the washer is in the center of the nylon then put my hand/arm through both of the loops that are created on either side of the washer. The nylon will then go to either side of the washer just like the picture that was posted on this initial thread. HTH and makes sense. It is truely very simple as I struggled with this as well until I was playing around one day and did it. lol.

I get my magnets from this etsy seller. They are the strongest magnets I have found thus far and for the best price. http://www.etsy.com/shop/SunAndMoonCraftKits

Ok, it really was that easy

I actually just sat down and tried it and it was super simple. I just could not picture in my head the bracelet looking like the picture just by slipping the loop through the washer..lol.

Lol. We always make things harder than they really are. I only say this because I did the same thing. I thought they were hiding something behind the washer or something trying to "trick" me. lmbo! I even asked my husband and it stumped him. Of course after I found out how to do it he says he knew that all along he was just giving me a hard time. Yeah right! Lol.

I figured out the bracelets/magnets, but I can't get the crimp beads to work right. I bought 5 mm beads, but there is too much nylon to stuff in that little opening. Any idea what I am doing wrong? I have tons of these to make for my two craft booths and a show.

Thanks.

Nancy
