I came across these and I am so loving them.. they are made from real candies and I love the fact they are not in a bag.. anyone knows how these are done?

It's VERY cute! I'd be worried that my kids would try to eat it and unless it isn't toxic I think that candy + something toxic= unecessary danger??? JMIO

I agree it is cute, but what sorta warning labels do you have to put on it? I know that you would have to have the choking hazard that goes on all kid products, but what is she using to "preserve" the candy? If it is like laquer or a clear coat paint, I wouldn't think it would be safe if ingested.

Cute but I see potential for danger. The owner herself says it should only be worn by kids 5 yrs or older (in her vid). But what if you have younger siblings in the house?

Whoa.

For me, the dangerous components outweigh the cuteness of it.

I think those would be great for the older kids/teens. They are really cute.

I'm inclined to agree with you, if only because I can't imagine the candies being attached/affixed securely enough to guarantee they won't fall off. And, aside from the choking hazard --which is a risk with any small brightly colored decoration-- the fact that it is real candy greatly increases the likelihood that some kid will put it in their mouth.

She states she is the "mom of 3 hyper kids" ... Maybe they've had too much "hair candi" lol!
Creative idea, though. But like everyone else has said, prob best for the older tween girls. My 5 y/o dd wouldn't leave the candy on very long... It would be a plain ribbon wrapped headband when she got done with it. hehe

very very creative but agree also that this is a choking hazard and by the way the candy shines i am thinking that the candy was submerged in a clear varnish and left out to cure. i think that i will just keep making my ribbon candies!!
