How can I make hair bows with 2 prong alligator clips?

im very new to making bows. in fact i just started last week, and have only made 7 bows so far. the problem is the bows im making my daughter wont be able to wear until she has much more hair. she has some but its so fine and thin that the spring barrettes wont hold which is what im making the bows out of now. i saw the thread about the velcro which i plan to try too. but i'd like to know how to make bows with the 2 prong alligator clips. just plain simple ones. can anyone tell me how or where i can find it? i tried to google it but got nothing. thanks in advance!

I've never used the two prong alligator clips (I usually use the single prong), but you could line it with velvet and it should work like a charm. I line all of my alligator clips with velvet.

okay so with even the single prong clips how do you do it sense the end isnt straight across? im confused as to how to make them because of the points on the ends of them.

you can buy the 2 pronged clips at Sally's. They have a big box of them for about $5.

You can also try the itty bitty clips for your daughter. my baby has practically no hair, so they work best for her (lack of LOL)hair.

you just have to line the inside - top with velvet, shelf liner, or velcro to make them no-slip. people use a lot of other stuff too for that like foam, carpet tape, even plastic/rubber tubing. you have to find out what material you like best.

that's what im trying to figure out how to do that? how do i make it straight across when the clip is pointy?

are you talking about the velvet part? it doesn't have to go along the whole clip. just have to have 3/4 of the inside of the clip covered IMO.

im trying to picture what your talking about, im guessing you put the velvet on the inside of the clip, is that to straighten the end and/or help it stay in her hair? sorry im such trouble!! lol
