How can I make hair bows with 2 prong alligator clips?

Okay heres a silly way to think about it.
Alligator clip because when it's pinched open it looks like an alligator...he! he!

Cut your ribbon to about 4 1/2 inches long.

first line the roof of his mouth with glue then ribbon (the underside of the top prongs)
next line the top of his snout with glue and ribbon (the top of the clip that you will see...go all the way over his ears (the part where your index finger is pinching. Then finish lining the little pinch part. Put a small dab of glue on the very tip of both parts of the pinc and poke your ribbon in with your index finger. Last pull the last little tail you have over and around the bottom and glue.

Thats how I partially line an alligator clip....

Don't know if that makes any sense at all!

I just googled "how to line a clip" and found this, it is how I line mine except I use more glue so it's not "bumpy".

fwiw, I don't actually like the sally's alligator clips - I find the top part of the pinch is too narrow and the ribbon doesn't sit on it as nicely as on other clips. but that's just me...

haven't read the whole post yet - have you figured out how to line them? happy to help if you need any

Sallys! The craft stores around here don't have them, but I totally didn't think about Sallys! It's in the same shopping center as Michael's. I've got a house full of construction workers right now, but I think i'll run out tonight and check out the supply!
