Default Bottle cap image help

I am hoping someone can please tell me what I am doing wrong. I have microsoft office word 2007 and the template for bottle caps that someone posted awhile back. I have no problems doing just images. But right now I am adding a background image and them trying to add a letter in the center but everytime I try to do it the letter is way off. I make sure center is clicked but it still doesn't work. As long as I keep the letter small it is fine but when I try to make it almost the size of the cap it gets way off and you can only see part of it. What am I doing wrong??? Please help!

I'm having the same problem! Also with images. If they aren't just the right size when saved, they are blurry or too small to see words. I just don't know how to make them the correct size or what the correct size is!
