Question My first twisted boutique bow.. please review

This is my first attempt at trying to make a twisted boutique bow. I fussed with this thing yesterday for hours until I put it aside. Today, I fussed with it again for another 4 hours. I give up! No matter what I try to do, I can't seem to improve upon this hot mess of a bow

So, my fellow hipgirls, I'm asking for your reviews and advice. I posted my bow next to the one from the BBM site, because that is the template I was using.

It's just a bit off, isn't it? The twists or something?

Ok, I think its pretty close - I'd say you may want to make your top and bottom crease a bit larger. For instance, the middle crease looks good but the other two creases look like a smaller amount of ribbon is creased. Also, manipulate the ribbon to bend in like the template pic. Then starch/bake and it should hold its shape.

You know, I've been fussing with this thing for so long that I can't remember if I creased it "M" or "W" (?) That makes a difference right? How do I make a crease bigger?

I manipulated this ribbon to death! lol This is the result I kept getting (sigh).

As far creasing, I do an "M" and I was thinking you need to pinch a bit more ribbon in the crease. A thicker fold for the top and the bottom may help This probably makes no sense at all, lol!

Well, I would settle for your bow right now!! I think it looks pretty good. When I make them, one side looks OK, and the other is just off. Wish I understood that crease thing. I will pay attention the next time I make one. I would say you are well on your way!!

Sometimes I have to do some adjusting to make them look right.

I think this looks good! I don't even use my BBM Twisted....could never get the bow to look right. I now use one that another HG posted from a video, and it works great for me.
