Angry Omg! What do i do?!?

Hey ladies,

Not sure where to post this or if anyone has gone through this before, but it's worth a shot!

I had some of my finished, ready-to-sell bows in a plastic bin under my craft table. Well, I had dug into my stash to pick out a few Christmas presents and never put the lid back on the bin. I just discovered my cats chose to PEE in the middle of bin!!!!!!! Excuse my language but...WTF!! I CAN'T believe they did that!

Anyways, do you think everything is now garbage or is there a way to clean the ruined product and try to salvage anything?

Thinking of making furball stew tonight....

If they're boy cats, I'd just toss them.

Uh....if I were you I would throw them in the trash. No matter how much cleaning you do you can't take that smell away and I don't think people want you to sell them bows that a cat peed on. So so sorry this happened to you. We had a cat in the house once...........then I had kids and he was out the door. No more pets in the house for us anymore....I don't like dealing with having to open the door to let the dog out or having to deal with a litter box or the house smelling like cat or dog. That is just me.

Cat urine has such a strong smell I would say that they are probably unsaveable (is that a word??) I am sorry it sucks when stuff like that happens

Yes, unfortunately, they are garbage. Guess I'll take pics of what I lost and recreate some of them.

Put the lid back on the box and throw the whole box away. You will never get the smell out of the box or the bows. Speaking from experience.... I HAD a cat that peed on the carpet. We got rid of the cat, replaced the carpet and pad, and bleached the concrete sub floor before replacing it all. And to this day I can still smell cat urine when it rains outside or is super hot in the summer.

Sorry this happened to you, nothing is more frustrating- I have been there before.

You could try airing out any bows that didn't actually get urine on them.

But unless the ones that were soaked are unfinished and washable I think you're out of luck.

If they are washable then you could try washing them with an enzyme specifically for neutralizing pet urine. But that's a little bit of a long shot.

Good luck.

Just letting you know your aren't alone!

I had my puppy get sick and pooped everywhere...ughhh of course it was in the craft room and a bag of bows (in a ziplock) fell in it... I didn't even think twice about trying to save them. Although they were some of my older bows and I think I am WAY better now...
