TU-TU,

Do you have a photo you could upload with what they look like with the reinstone glued to the "drop"? I'd like to see how they come out. (sorry again)

I wouldn't use ET lite with a child, either.

I use the resin drops and they do not look tacky, they look finished. But I don't add rhinestones. I don't care for that look.

If you just want to do it with your child, I'd say use some Mod Podge over it and you'll be just fine.

Envirotex Lite is a reactive polymer compound. It cures to a thick, glossy coating. If you want easy, I would go with the resin drops!!!

Ok, so if I'm gonna modge podge, should I use the sticker maker or just modge podge the whole thing to the bottle cap?

If I'm gonna use the domes do I use the sticker maker and then put the dome on top of the sticker or do I need to use something else to glue the picture to the cap?

Glossy paper (photo paper) or regular paper to print my pictures out on?

They are not filled with resin (the image is on the inside of the cap). It's got some sort of very thin shiny coating on it and they have rinestones glued on them.

I want to make some, but don't want to fool with resin. I've been doing a lot of reading on here and it looks like several people recommend using the "X" shaped sticker maker to adhere the images to the bottle cap. Do I still need to go over that with something else to make sure it "sticks" or can I just glue the reinstones directly to the sticker? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm not a big bottlecap person, but the ones I made I used modpodge and Diamond Glaze. I glue the image to the inside of the bottle cap with mod podge. I also smooth a thin layer of MP over the image. After that dry's thoroughly, I cover with a thin layer of Diamond Glaze. If I want to use a rhinestone, I place it in the wet Diamond Glaze. Then let that dry and your BC is ready. Sometimes I use a second layer of DG, if needed. HTH

There are a variety of ways to make BC's...

I wouldn't assume that the caps you saw have not been glazed. Someone on here makes AWESOME caps and you can't *see* the resin, but it's there!!

If the girls are making them, I bet modge podge is fine, but I don't think they'd be water proof. Don't know about that, though.

I use ET lite when I do caps on the top, and I use the resin domes when I do my caps inside...And I don't think they look tacky either!! LOL

Where do you get diamond glaze? I looked at Hobby Lobby and I couldn't find it! (unless they had it hidden) Would it be by the "glues"?

Unhappy Re: Bottle cap--NO RESIN!

I would love to know how to make my bottlecaps stick better... I use the "X" shape sticker maker and then apply my bottle caps to the cap and place the 3d dome over it. within a few days they are lifting. A few months ago before I started doing it myself I ordered a kit from Ebay. These bottlecaps had a "coat" of something on it and you couldnt get a needle under it. It was that good. Does anyone have any advise or know what this coat is? I just want my bottlecaps to stay down
