Default How do you make this fabric flower?

Merry Christmas Eve ladies! Of course I am running behind and promised my sister I would make her 2 dogs collars for Christmas and I am wanting to make matching flowers for the collars. I usually make pinwheel bows to match, but I thought I would try to add a little more stress to my day and make a flower that I do not know how to make..lol I have been looking for the past hour and I am running out of time, can someone please tell me how to make the petals on this flower... http://www.etsy.com/listing/59357889...pinkdog-collar I am sure it had been asked before and I would keep searching if I had more time. TIA

Here's one... instead using that many petals, just make/use 6 petals as per the etsy listing:

ETA: Found another one:

Super easy!

Cut Circles ( I use hobby lobby ribbon rolls as a template... you need half as many as you want petals) After you have them cut cut them in half

Fold one half-circle in half (right side on the inside) and use your sewing machine to sew the straight edges together... I do one long strand so I dont have to worry about cutting and such in between

cut apart and turn right side out. Use a large needle to stitch the rounded edges.. I use 3 or 4 stitches per petal. After you have them all stitched gather them as tight as you would like and thread through one or two of the petals again to secure and form a circle..

I am really not he best at describing but hope I was able to help. It wont take you more than 10 minutes to whip a few out!

Sorry about that! I skipped the part where you said that. I wasn't being rude!! I don't know how to go to a certain post and then post it here for you. I knew that I have seen a ton of posts about this flower and was just letting you know it was out there.

wait! another quicker way is to use squares & do quarter fold (instead of cutting circles). . . and then cut circle thru folds. i usually sew mine & then cut it off . . . 100% cotton fabric rips nicely!

they're really fun to do . . . a great car project!
