Default Need TuTu Help!!

I just finished up 2 tutus for a friend of mine's little girls. I went to cut some ribbon to add into it in strips and instead of cutting the ribbon at 24 & 18 - I cut it at 12 & 9 (the lengths of the tutus) so I am not able to tie them and have it hang down the whole length (it would only hang down half way)

I hope all this is making sense!

So, I really want to get these down tonight and I cut up all the ribbon I had - anyone have any ideas how i can salvage the ribbon and it look right?

Thanks in Advanced!!

Hmmm... Can you sew the strips to the elastic? Then cover the top of the ribbon where it's sewn by your knots. Like slide them over on the top, but the ribbon will still lay above the tulle.

If that makes sense...

Ifnot, just tie the ribbon to strips of tulle (horizontally) sporadically around the tutu. I think I have a pic of where I did that. Let me look.

It is actually on ribbon, but I thought about overlapping it a little in the back just enough to sew it.

I would love to see a pic. if you have one. I think I know what you mean, but am not sure.

How about sew the ribbon to a length of tulle that will make it long enough to have the ribbon hang down the front and the tulle hang towards the back?

Here's one I did with tying tulle around other pieces of tulle and attaching lil rhinestone things. But this was what I was describing with the ribbon, you could tie it around the tulle

What about stitching two shorter pieces of ribbon together, then tie to the top with the stitching at top, hidden by something?

How about hot gluing or sewing one end of the ribbon to the tulle at the waist line, and then add a little flower or big rhinestone on top of it so that it will hide the ribbon end. Am I making sense? Hehe... kinda hard to explain without pictures.

Thanks everyone - I made it work, I just used hot glue and overlapped the ribbon about 1/2-1 inch in the back and hot glued it into place and it looks great! I will post some pics tomorrow after I finish the matching shirts. I can't wait to give it as the christmas gifts!!
