Default Singles or double allis?

Ok so I notice that some people prefer to use single alligator clips and some people only want doubles. Can you all share your opinions on this? Do you use singles or doubles for certain projects and teh opposite for others? Do you always use one or the other and why?

My 7yo dd has very thick hair and I find that the double prong hold in her hair better. That's why I only use double prong.

I personally use single-prong for all bows and korkers. I use double-prong for flowers and clippies.

I always use single. I don't have a real reason, other than I guess I like them better. If I'm making a heavier bow, I do like to use the double. I think the single slide in the hair easier without pulling?
