figure 8. I am doing this all without a template. I have been seeing some say that you can do it with the figure 8.

I am by no means great at them but I do mine with a figure 8 and a Sally's clip too. Make your x narrow and then bring the top down and the bottom up. This is when I put the bow in my clip and check to make sure my loops are even. I don't sew it first, I tie it off, then sew. I tie towards the back.

Here is a link for a tut- http://www.hair-hardware.com/How-To-...w_ep_43-1.html

and at the bottom of that page there is a link for a video that helped me to visualize HTH!

You're welcome I also tie my bow off toward the back, not the front.

You haven't shaped it yet. You have to pull and tug on the creases before it will start looking right. I could never free hand them and have them turn out right. Finally got a template and I'm in love.

Oh my Gosh that has to be the best video I have seen yet. I may have to try again to make this bow! It is my nemesis. I am going to try without a Sally's clip though. Thanks Dandelion!

I did it!!! It looks a little funky and I'm still trying to shape the loops but finally the loops are even! Sorry for hijacking, LOL.
