Default Need glue ideas for clips...help!!!

When attaching ribbon to hair clips and headbands, I started off using hot glue, but did not like the "bumpy" finished result. I then switched to Scotch Super 77, which leaves a very smooth finish. However, recently I have noticed on some of my items, the Scotch Super 77 lifts away, especially on metal clips. Does anyone have any other metohds to secure ribbon

Are you using high temp glue sticks? When I wasn't using high temp sticks, the glue was starting to harden before I could even finish the clip, leaving some lumps. I don't get that feeling at all now that I switched to high temp. HTH

I get mine from Joanns. I get a bag of 100 and it has maroon and red on the front of the bag.
