Default Bottlecaps in korkers?

Has anyone ever put bottlecaps in the center of their korkers? If so, can you please teach me how to do it?

I bought some Christmas bottlecaps and I'd love to add them to the full-size korkers I made, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it.

Please show me how to add the bottlecap? And I'd love to see pics of your finished bows as I can't quite picture it in my mind (I keep wondering if the curly korker ribbon will just cover up the image ).

Thanks girls

Hey! Sorry you didn't get much response. I do add bottlecaps to my korkers. I first do E6000 in my bottlecap, add the felt circle (from dollar tree-the things that go under chair legs. Perfect size and width for the cap). I spread my korker out so the center is exact. Then put E6000 in the center. I put the cap on that E6000 and clip it on each side with a clothes pin until it cures.

HTH!

I would think you could do it. But, what I would do is make my korker about 1/2 full. Instead of 30-ish pieces of korker, I might try 15-20. I think that would still accomplish the curls, but it would only be a frame (rather than overwhelm)

Thanks so much megan I really wasn't sure how to do this. I wasn't even sure it could be done lol It's just that the only bows I've made so far are korkers and raggies (and it just doesn't work in a raggie). I will try your suggestion, thank you!

Ahhh, true... true

Before I posted asking for help, I tried to just glue one in the center of the korker I had, but the curls just covered it up. That's why I thought I'd ask to see how others do it.

Maxine, I know this is an old post, but in case you are still looking for help, I make bottle cap korkers. I make my korkers longer than my normal 3" so there's allowance for the cattle cap flattening the korkers a bit. I add about a half an inch extra. I make my korker like normal. Then here's the trick I use: using a paper piercer or similar sharp tool, I take my blank bottle cap and pierce two holes in the center. Then I use a thin needle and string my thread through the hole. Then I tie it around the center of my korker. Finally i attach it to a partially lined clip. Does that make sense? That way it's secure. I haven't had good luck gluing them so I came up with this method and I haven't had any complaints.
