Default Please Help...my lrg cabochons are not sticking strong with E6000

I put some larger flower cabochons on some bobby pins (the ones with a pad) using E6000 and they won't harden strong.

I also made smaller ones and the little ones I glued on are stuck on great but they are about the size of the pad (a bit bigger).

The larger ones (a bit bigger than a quarter) just don't seem safe enough to sell. I have never had this problem before. I can pull on the bobby pin and have it seperate with just a firm tug. I am so frustrated! I can put them on alli clips but I kinda liked the look of the bobby pins.

Can anyone help?

Weird how the E6000 worked with the smaller pins and not with the larger ones.

I apply E6000 to the bobby pin pad and to the back of the cabochon, let both sit for a minute so they get tacky, attach them together and then leave everything alone for at least 24 hours to let the glue cure. Any sooner and I can pull them apart fairly easily.

I also heard scuffing the bobby pin pad before applying E6000 may help too

Sometimes pressure will help. I'll use paperweights, clothespins and rubber bands, depending on what I'm attaching with E6000. Might help

I had almost the same problem today, I put together 4 bobby pins with fabric covered (flat back) "buttons" and let them sit for over 24 hours, came back and one of the buttons had fallen off! The others dont seem too stable either I have a show Saturday and was hoping to sell them but I won't if Im not confident they will stay. I will try the suggestions given and hope that makes a difference.
