It looks like they took two loops, layered one on top of the other, just a little offset. then they tied a knot around if and left the tails from the knot to make it look like a spike. Hope that makes sense . .

To me it looks like she took a long piece of ribbon, folded it on top of each other a couple of times then turned it over and put the knot on top. I can see it in my head, not sure it that makes sense. HAHA!

I see what you are saying about the accordion. It almost looks like they did lay the loops on top of each other -- maybe by laying the ribbon flat and going size to side with the ribbon and folding it over as they went to make the loops. Does that make sense??? Ugh! I can see it in my head, but am having a hard time describing it. Maybe I will try and see if I can get it to work. I LOVE this style, too and would really like to know how to make it.

Okay...I think I may have figured it out. If this is it, just lmk and I can tell you how to make it. (Of course, this is unfinished and needs the center knot, etc.)

Looks like two tuxedo bows with a long tail and they attached them together and seperated the loops.

Is the pink polk dot bow you posted the same type of bow? Because that looked like a pinwheel to me.
