Question Help with shoe clips

I could really use some help with these shoe clips. I bought some off a seller on etsy put they are sooo tight making them hard to open and close. I already broke a pair. Does anyone know of a way to loosen them? I really need these for a show tomorrow so any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks
Lynn

I'm not sure what a shoe clip is. But have you tried gently opening and then "overextending" them? Maybe just a little bit at a time, until you extend the range and loosen them up somewhat.
