Ugh! I hate cheer bows. I don't know, but maybe I just had a bad experience...Wanted lots of bows for a great price (which I met) and then I realize that the girls were paying TWICE what I charged.

Never again! I will charge what I'm worth for my time and talent and they can take it or leave it!!

LOL

At that rate, I'd be charging them $350 per bow! LoL!

Thanks again, everyone! I have to agree with Ann and Pia, assembly line style is the way to go, with all those layers, no sense getting up and down a thousand times to the ironing board...Just get it done and onto the next step. I did find using the E6000 and iron on vinyl saved me quite a bit of time when using fabrics, not for everything, but some things it works well as a time saver. Nothing is available to make sequins any faster or easier, though. Blech, I hate sequins too!
Ann,
I just L.O.V.E. those bows! I think those zebra bows are downright adorable, too!
Your bows rock!
Thanks so much for sharing,
Shelleigh

Let's see more, everyone! And, on a side note, Maxine: what and where did you find the cute "dot" font that spells out your name? I think its cute!

Pia, I'm waiting to see some of those awesome bows!!

I sure did, that's how the spankies and the bows match exactly. You won't find that flame pattern in a catalog.
It took a zillion searches, combing through books at JoAnn, Hancock, and HL to find patterns. Finally gave up and tore apart a pair of spankies I had at home. Then, I needed more 3/8" elastic than my local JoAnn's had, plus you can always find a deal online so I searched for bulk elastic. FINALLY came upon a site that only sells elastic and notions for underwear, swimsuits and exercise type clothing. CHA-CHING! was I excited. found a couple patterns for adult and children's swim wear that was impossible for me to find elsewhere. The pair pictured are an original pair I had sewn from a butcher-paper pattern made from my daughter's spankies, which were good and would have worked, but the swimsuit pattern spankies were only two pieces instead of four, so less cutting and less sewing time. I made 24 sets, assembly-line style, with my serger set up at one end of our dining table, and my "regular" machine at the other.

Hope I'm not talking too much, I suppose a simple "Yes" would have worked here...

So for the briefs you just used a swimsuit bottom pattern?

Ive looked all over too for a brief pattern because I cant find any that fit me right. If they fit in one place they dont in another.
