Default Bows that look like package ribbons???

I don't know if I am explaining this right. I don't really want to link a pic, just because it's here that I have seen them. I don't want to step on anyones toes. But I am liking the look of these bows that look like the bows you put on presents. I have seen some hollowed out with bottle caps/resins in the middle and some that are not. Does anyone know where to find a tut on these. Preferably free but would pay if it was not too exspensive. Thanks.

I know exactly what you are talking about but I can't remember where I saw the tut for this. I can try to explain:

1. Cut 6 6" ribbons
2. Center 1 of the 6" pieces on a needle and do a figure 8 with it.
3. Repeat for the next 2 6" pieces.
4. Sew a couple of stitches to secure.
6. Repeat for the next 3 6" ribbons.
7. Glue one set of 3 inside the next and finish off with a center.
*I typically put rhinestones or buttons in the middle.

I'm the one that is making the unhollowed out ones (as well as the hollowed ones too.)

The hollowed out ones, my method is pretty similar to awhite214.

For the unhollowed ones, like in the picture, I literally took a Christmas bow and sat there with it to copy it, sewing two stitches or so in each loop as I went. (You start with the loop in the very middle and work outward from there.) I can try to take pictures later to show you what I mean.

Thanks for giving me the description. I might be able to try it. I might have to use google. I will let you know what I find. I could link one from here just today. But I think that would be tacky. If that person or someone else wants to offer that would be great.

You're welcome!

I did want to emphasize DEFINITELY sew them, and DEFINITELY sew as you go. I tried a lot of other ways, and they just didn't turn out as pretty.

Here you go Maxine

This one just a knoted center...looks cuter with a button or a rhinestone.

OMG! That bow is so freakin' cute! I will definately try to make it with your instructions. I think I can make a figure 8... I have to try this bow now!
Question... do you sew them one by one or in bunches of 3? Hope I am making sense LOL
